It’s weird writing in a blog.  That’s a cool name though. Blog. I like that word. It’s better than calling it a journal or a diary. If Annabelle and Riley saw me writing in a “diary”, they’d make fun of me for days. Who needs that? I could hear Annabelle now, “Eddie’s writing in a diary like a giiiirl…” With some people, (ahem, Annabelle) even avenging a curse doesn’t change things.

Thebes is so cool! He sleeps tucked under Albert’s belly. Sometimes he sleeps on his head! Really! Kittens are so cute and funny.  Albert’s kind of like the dad.  I’m glad we have them both. :)

In school, things are cool, but lately James is acting kind of weird. He’s pretty quiet to begin with, but lately he keeps saying strange things. Yesterday, at lunch, he said he had a dream. Normally, this isnt front page news, but my life’s been anything but normal. If you read my story, you’d totally get that. Anyway, he said it was about a tomb. And a pharaoh! O.M.G.! That is too creepy. I’ll keep you posted. In my blog. It’s not a diary. Remember that.

  1. Hey Eddie,
This is so cool that you have a blog. It is really “in” to have a blog these days, so don’t let the “girlie” thing bug you too much. LOL. I’m guessing that I know at least one or two more people that might be blogging with you….two students that are reading The Curse of Amun-Ra!! Take care and enjoy your adventures.

  2. Hi Eddie,
Your blog is awesome so keep on writing in it. Don’t think it’s girlie just because you afriad someone will make fun of you.
    Keep on writing!

  3. Thanks. Yeah, I’m getting the hang of this. I think.

It seems harder than avenging an ancient curse! LOL

  4. Yo, Eddie, it me Elliot. This rocks! You didn’t tell me you started a blog. Jake is gonna freak out. Blog sounds way cooler than a diary, I’ll have to agree with you there. LOL. I wish I was with you guys when you materialized in Ancient Egypt. That had to be sick! I read about it, and that curse and stuff. It’s awesome that you had Albert. Cats are pretty cool. Especially when they can talk. So tell me, how did it feel when you opened your eyes and you were actually in a tomb? Were you totally freaked?

  5. Yo, Elliot! Great to hear from ya! I think your adventures are awesome, too. (Check it out, everyone–Elliot Stone books by LP Chase! Very cool!) I especially loved the one where you thought your mom was an alien. Too funny! Oh, and the one where you buried a treasure and discovered so much more! Cool!

About the ancient tomb, well, let me just tell ya. It was CREEPY. It was dark and dusty and I was waiting for a mummy to come out and chase us! But it was really cool how we got to see history, like, firsthand!

Say hi to Jake for me. :)

  6. This book is awesome! I could read the whole book in one day, it’s so good! This is a cool blog that you have here!!!

  7. Thanks, Lauren. I’m just trying to get the hang of this blogging thing. But it’s kind of hard when I keep getting interrupted by Annabelle orRiley. Annabelle’s always barging into my room to talk about something or another. What a pain. And Riley’s always in here borrowing something or just asking questions. Then there’s the cats, Albert and Thebes. Get this–they walk on my computer keyboard all the time and make me type wierd stuff.

See? Thebes just did that! LOL

Talk to you soon. Love, EddieYBHF WR %YYFFW#%43ef h8e93

    Hey! Stop that, Thebes!!!!

  8. Hey, guys. Here’s a really fun ancient Egyptain fact I learned. Check it out. When a pharaoh died, he’d be buried with these little statues called shabtis. These statues were supposed to be, like, miniature servants to help them in the afterlife. Hmm…imagine one came to life and told us their story today? COOL!!

Wanna hear another really cool fact? The Book of the Dead was like a map of spells that was supposed to help people fight off dangers in the underworld! And they called the underworld Duat. Creepy, huh?

Oh, one more thing. Sometimes a family would hire mourners to wail and cry for their family member’s funeral ’cause they thought that the more mourners you had, the more “uppity” you were! These people would act out by crying, waving their arms, and throwing dust in their hair! Wierd!

    Bye for now! Eddie
